Step into the final days of the Roman Republic. You’ll receive secret messages from Cicero, decode symbols left by Cleopatra and influence the conspiracy that changed history forever: will you save Caesar or join the conspirators?
Each clue will lead you through breathtaking architectural ruins, hidden alleys and iconic spots packed with puzzles and riddles.
It’s perfect for couples, young adults, families with kids aged 8+, school trips and anyone seeking a unique and fun way to actively explore the city, learn a little about Ancient Rome, and make cherished memories along the way.
You have maximum flexibility: you can start anytime between 11am-7.30pm and take all the breaks you want. Plus, you get a delicious sweet surprise at the end!

You’ll start near Rome’s Via dei Fori Imperiali and finish near Piazza Navona. Precise directions will be shared upon order confirmation.

The “Operation Caesar” treasure hunt is designed for adults, but also families with kids aged 7+ (if accompanied).
Make sure to get a ticket for all players, you wouldn’t want someone to miss the final reward!

What can we expect?
Our “Rome: Operation Caesar” urban adventure is a mix between an outdoor escape game, a treasure hunt and a Rome walking tour: you get to play a part in a historically themed story, interact with real life characters and most of all, we make sure to lead you to beautiful spots a little outside the usual tourist paths.
What kind of things will we do/see?
You’ll see plenty of the city: from secret viewpoints to monuments, but also local eateries and beautiful shops
How do we receive clues?
It’s super simple: all you need is a charged phone and a functioning WhatsApp number with a data plan. We will send you instructions directly on WhatsApp, so you’re free to set the pace for your adventure.
When can I play, and at what time?
The treasure hunt runs every day, from Monday to Sunday. You may start as early as 10.30am, but no later than 7.30pm.
This is because some of the clues are located within shops and whilst you may proceed anyway, you want to make the most of the experience.
Where does the experience start and end?
Once you book, the details will be provided in your confirmation email – but you may expect the starting point to be located near Rome’s Via dei Fori Imperiali, and the end point to be near Piazza Navona.
How long does it take?
We recommend setting aside at least 2-2.5 hours for the adventure, but it’s entirely up to you. We factor in breaks for snacks, drinks and shopping – but we want you to have full freedom to take your time.
Why is the cost charged per individual and what does it cover?
We price per individual as part of what makes Invisible Streets so much better than a regular treasure hunt is that it includes curated treats and prizes for each player: you wouldn’t want one of you to go empty handed!
Is Whatsapp free and will you keep my number?
There is no extra charge to use Whatsapp, and most italian cities offer free WiFi in case you cannot use your own data. We do not keep your phone number and cannot initiate contact with you unless you choose to message us first.
What language will the experience be in?
You can play both in English and in Italian: we recommend you have a good level of fluency in order to appreciate the language nuances of some of the riddles.
Is this experience suitable for children?
Our Rome treasure hunt experience is designed for adults, but with children in mind, providing they are supervised. Our riddles, clues and instructions don’t require any particular experience or knowledge, but good language and reading skills are expected. Finally, whilst the effective length of the tour is short of 2 miles and breaks can be factored in at any point, we recommend not bringing children who are not comfortable with walking such distances.

Our hunts are very popular with school trips and students of all ages in mind. We do not advertise alcohol and do not stop at any night life venue. The adventure is meant to be enjoyed in teams, which enables students to bond and engage. Please visit our “Schools” page for more information.
