FAQs
What age is it suitable for?
Our urban adventures and treasure hunts are designed for adults and young adults. Children aged 7-11 will enjoy participating, but they will need to be supported and accompanied by an adult.
What will the students do?
Our city quests follow history-inspired storylines: students will solve clues and physical puzzles, play a role in the plot, and organically explore the city. If they are successful, they get a reward at the end. For more details on each adventure, consult the individual adventure pages.
How long does it take?
Our urban adventures are entirely self-guided via Whatsapp: you can start whenever works best for you, morning or afternoon. We recommend setting aside at least 2-3 hours to complete it, but you may go faster or slower. For specific information, consult the individual adventure page.
Can we stop for lunch?
We have factored in pauses for refreshments and toilet breaks at curated establishments – and we do recommend a lunch break at a centrally located food court with plenty of options for everyone’s dietary requirements. You may also deviate from the itinerary and rejoin whenever you are ready.
Which venues will we visit? Is there alcohol involved?
Our treasure hunt trails are centrally located, although we strive to avoid the usual touristy hotspots: you can expect to discover beautiful palaces, secret courtyards, local boutiques and delicious eateries – whilst remaining slightly out of the more crowded roads and squares.
Concerning our alcohol policy, some of the venues we visit might offer alcohol on the menu, but they are not primarily nightlife drinking spots.
Is it suitable for large groups of students?
Yes, absolutely. Our adventures are designed to be enjoyed in a team: we recommend dividing into multiple teams of 2-8 students per group, with one elected team leder who will hold the phone and read out instructions. For more information on how to organize on the day, pleas visit our How Does it Work page.
What language skills are required?
Whilst you don’t need to be native speakers, good reading and understanding abilities of either English or Italian are required.
What do we need to bring on the day?
We have designed our treasure hunts to be as easy to do as possible. All you need is a charged phone with Whatsapp installed and a data plan: you will need one for each group. We also recommend walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothes, as you will be spending time outdoors. A portable battery pack might also be useful.
WHERE IS THE MEETING POINT?
Each adventure has a meeting point: you can find more information on the specific game page. You should also have received the meeting point in the confirmation e-mail after your purchase.
